Went out this morning to distribute new water filter for some villagers in Kep from RTF.
This filters are very simply made in Phnom Penh and for a cost of less than $20 each, they were given free to 40 families who will now have free clean water>
You put the dirty water in the top and clean safe water comes out the bottom. Simple and easy to clean… No batteries, no electricity or moving parts to wear out.
They work by gravity flow. Particles are filtered out by the pot that has rice husk mixed into the clay before firing and gives it porosity. Colloidal silver is impregnated into the mix. The Colloidal silver kills bacteria, microbes and parasites
No more collecting fire wood to boil your water, no more buying water, just collect rain water or water from your well, pour it into the filter and ... Clean drinkable water> Takes about 1 hour to filter 1 lit of water!!!
This is only one of the projects that RTF does in Cambodia, please visit their site to see how they help other less fortunate villagers,
